Your privacy is a top priority at warmglue. To help you leverage and expand your personal network, warmglue analyzes the data contained in your email accounts, messaging services, and other forms of communication that you choose to connect to warmglue.
In order to use warmglue, you grant warmglue access to this data. Your data comes from accounts, addresses, and devices that belong to you, to which you have authorized access, and against which no one else has a legitimate copyright or property claim. You may access warmglue from mobile devices, from desktop or laptop computers, or from third-party applications. warmglue is not intended for use by persons under the age of 16, and will delete personal information from children under 16 as quickly as possible. If you are under 16, please do not attempt to register for warmglue or send any personal information about yourself to warmglue. If you believe that a child under 16 may have provided warmglue personal information, please contact warmglue at warmglue@warmglue.com.
By using warmglue, you consent to your information being collected, used, and shared in accordance with this privacy policy. warmglue reserves the right to revise, amend, or modify this privacy policy, as well as any other policy or agreement, at any time and in any manner. The latest revisions of this policy will be published at https://www.warmglue.com/privacy. warmglue will provide notifications of any substantive changes to this policy on the warmglue website, to you on upon login, by sending you an email, and/or by some other means. Please note that if you’ve opted not to receive legal notices from warmglue, these legal notices will still govern your use of warmglue, and you are still responsible for reading and understanding them. If you use warmglue after any changes to the privacy policy have been posted, that means you agree to all of the changes.
“Personal information” is information that can be used to uniquely identify a natural person and is protected as personal data under applicable data protection law. Your personal information is considered confidential and private to you. Personal information is collected when you use warmglue products and may be collected when you visit the warmglue website.
“Non-personal information” is information that does not permit identification of any specific person. Non-personal information is collected when you use warmglue products and may be collected when you visit the warmglue website.
warmglue only processes your personal data if there is a lawful basis for doing so. Lawful bases for processing include consent, contractual necessity, and warmglue’s or other’s legitimate interests, as outlined below.
Any information collected by warmglue may be processed in the country where it was collected as well as in the United States. warmglue services are hosted and operated in the United States through warmglue and its service providers, and if you do not reside in the United States, United States laws may differ from the laws where you reside. By using warmglue, you acknowledge that any personal data about you, regardless of whether provided by you or obtained from a third party, is being provided to warmglue in the United States and will be hosted on United States servers. Likewise, you authorize warmglue to transfer, store, and process your information to and in the United States, and possibly other countries.
For European Union, United Kingdom, Lichtenstein, Norway, and Iceland residents who have additional rights under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation, you hereby consent to the transfer of your data to the United States pursuant for cross-border transfer: (i) a data processing agreement incorporating standard data protection clauses promulgated by the European Commission, a copy of which can be obtained at https://eur-lex.europa.eu/legal-content/EN/TXT/?uri=celex%3A32010D0087, (ii) binding corporate rules for data protection that align with the GDPR’s requirements, or (iii) adherence to an industry- or technology-specific approved code of conduct blessed by the European Commission.
By creating or updating an account with warmglue, you provide personal information which may include but is not limited to: your name, picture, email addresses, usernames, passwords, phone numbers, postal addresses, preferences, demographic information, location information, employers, job titles, education history, and third party account credentials (for example, your login credentials for Outlook, LinkedIn, or other third party sites). If you provide your third party account credentials, some content and/or information in those accounts will be transferred into your warmglue account, and that third party account information transmitted to warmglue is covered by this privacy policy; for example, if you link your Outlook, Gmail, or LinkedIn account to your warmglue account, certain information from those third party accounts will be transmitted to and may be displayed within your warmglue account. By connecting warmglue to other products and services, you may provide warmglue with personal information; for example, contacts and calendar information from your email provider or other social networks may be provided. Certain information may be required to register with warmglue or take advantage of some of warmglue’s features.
warmglue will communicate with you via email, if you have provided a valid email address.
By using warmglue, you may provide warmglue with other people’s personal information (such as names, email addresses, etc.). For example, you may provide other people’s information when warmglue adds your connections. Likewise, other people may provide warmglue with personal information about you in a similar manner.
Communication data is collected and stored by warmglue in order to analyze your connections, improve the quality of intros warmglue can suggest, improve warmglue’s services, suggest potential new users for warmglue, and so on. This includes things like email header elements, the data and time stamp of messages, a message ID, the sender’s IP address, message intent, and so on.
To help people make and facilitate introductions, warmglue tracks certain information, such as the user who wants the introduction, the connection who can make the introduction, the person to whom the user is introduced, the introduction message, the introduction date, and so on.
warmglue frequently solicits user input and feedback. In addition to any information or opinions you intentionally choose to share when providing feedback, warmglue also collects personal data such as your email address, the date and time when feedback is shared, and so on.
As with most websites and technology services delivered over the Internet, warmglue servers automatically collect information when you access the website or use services. Information collected may include your IP address, the address of the referring page, browser type and settings, the date and time services were used, information about browser configuration and plugins, language preferences, geolocation data, device identification, the page or feature you requested, cookie data, and so on.
Third party analytics may be used by warmglue to collect information about service use, report on usage trends, and so on. These third party analytics employ cookies and similar technologies, and may also collect information regarding the use of other websites, apps, and online resources.
warmglue will never sell your personal information. warmglue may share your personal information with third parties only in a manner consistent with the third party disclosures policy outlined at the end of this document.
Personal information may be used to send you announcements related to warmglue products and services. You can opt out of receiving these communications by updating your account settings to unsubscribe from these communications.
Personal information may be used to help develop, deliver, and improve warmglue, as well as to understand and personalize your use of warmglue. This includes use for internal purposes such as auditing or research and analysis of products, services, and communications.
Personal information may occasionally be used to send you important notices such as software updates or notices related to your purchases and billing status, changes to policies, or changes to products and services. Because this information is critical in nature, you may not be able to opt out of receiving these notices for as long as you continue to use warmglue.
Personal information may be used to administer any special program you may have voluntarily entered into, such as a sweepstake, contest, or promotion.
Your personal information may be combined with other information to improve warmglue, warmglue’s content, and warmglue’s advertising.
Your personal information will be displayed in your profile and elsewhere in warmglue according to your preferences. Any information you choose to provide should reflect how much you want others to know about you.
Some details of your personal information, such as your name, a recent occupation, your email, a connection of yours who might be valuable for a warmglue user, and so on may be sent to other warmglue users to help suggest introductions, create mutual interest groups, improve warmglue’s connection-finding algorithms, and so on.
If personal information is combined with non-personal information, the combined information will be treated as personal information and will be treated under this privacy policy as personal information for as long as it remains combined.
If information is de-aggregated or de-identified so it is no longer reasonably associated with an identified or identifiable natural person, warmglue may use it for any business or research purpose.
warmglue stores communication data necessary to provide its services. This data may include, but is not limited to: your name, picture, email addresses, usernames, passwords, phone numbers, postal addresses, preferences, demographic information, location information, employers, job titles, education history, and third party account credentials (for example, your login credentials for Outlook, LinkedIn, or other third party sites).
warmglue will retain personal information in accordance with a user’s instructions, including any applicable terms in warmglue’s terms of service policy, which may be found at https://www.warmglue.com/terms.
You can remove all of the personal data warmglue has derived and stored from your communication data at anytime by emailing your request to warmglue@warmglue.com. You can remove all personal data warmglue has collected through a marketing effort, through interaction with warmglue users, or through warmglue’s products, by emailing warmglue@warmglue.com.
warmglue may keep data backups with an approximately 30-day retention period for disaster recovery. These backups may include personal information which will be purged automatically when the backup exceeds its retention period. Likewise, warmglue may keep log data for an approximately 180-day retention period.
In some cases, personal information can be updated within warmglue. In some cases, some information may remain in warmglue’s records after your deletion of such information from your account, for example, as backed-up or aggregated data. warmglue may use any aggregated data derived from or incorporating your personal information after you update or delete it, but not in a manner that would identify you personally.
You may delete your account at https://www.warmglue.com/cancelaccount.
In the event that you need to update personal information and warmglue does not support this, or in the event that you wish to request access to your personal information that warmglue stores, you can email your request to warmglue@warmglue.com.
Under California Civil Code Sections 1798.831798.84, California residents are entitled to contact warmglue to prevent disclosure of personal information to third parties for third parties’ direct marketing purposes; you can email any such request to warmglue@warmglue.com.
European Union, United Kingdom, Lichtenstein, Norway, and Iceland residents may have additional rights under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation with respect to your personal data. These include rectification of incorrect or incomplete personal data, erasure of some or all of your personal data from warmglue systems, withdrawal of consent for processing any personal data to which you have previously granted consent, a machine-readable copy of your personal data, objection to the further use or disclosure of your personal data for certain purposes, restriction of processing of your personal data, and the right to file a complaint about warmglue’s practices with the supervisory authority of your country or EU member state. Please note that in some circumstances, warmglue may not be able to fully comply with your request, such as if it is frivolous or extremely impractical, if it jeopardizes the rights of others, or if it is not required by law, but that in those circumstances, warmglue will still respond to notify you of such a decision. In some cases, warmglue may also need you to provide additional information, which may include personal data, if necessary to verify your identity and the nature of your request. To collect information, warmglue uses various technologies, such as cookies, pixel tags, and web beacons on the website, in email messages, and in advertisements. These technologies help improve the user experience; for example, by keeping a user logged in and remembering their username or other information between sessions. By using warmglue, you consent to the use of these technologies. You may be able to change the preferences on your browser or device to limit your device’s acceptance of these technologies, but this may prevent you from taking advantage of some of warmglue’s features.

The method by which information is collected is not used to determine whether it is personal information or non-personal information. Instead, that determination is made in accordance with definitions in this privacy policy.
At times warmglue may make certain personal information available to strategic partners and service providers for the purpose of assisting in providing, enhancing, securing, or marketing warmglue. For example, warmglue may use third parties to process credit card and payment information, fraud prevention service providers, ad networks, analytics service providers, staff augmentation and contract personnel, hosting service providers, co-location service providers, and telecommunications service providers. warmglue also shares personal data when necessary to complete a transaction initiated or authorized by you or provide you with a product or service you have requested. In addition to those set forth above, these parties also include other uses, social media services, third party business partners who you access through warmglue, or other parties authorized by you. warmglue may share information with third parties when you have given consent for warmglue to do so.
Some data included in warmglue products is sourced from third party providers. This data is generally pulled from public sources, requested from warmglue advertising partners, or taken from third party services (such as OAuth information for account login). It is generally used to improve the product experience. Any personal data that warmglue receives from third parties will be treated with the same care that warmglue treats data directly received from users and in accordance with applicable standards.
warmglue may be legally compelled - due to law, legal process, litigation, and/or requests from public and governmental authorities within or outside your country of residence - to disclose your personal information or non-personal information. Information will only be disclosed if warmglue determines it is necessary or appropriately required by law related to a clear purpose of national security, law enforcement, or other issues of public importance. Unless legally restricted from doing so, warmglue will attempt to notify you of any disclosure of your personal information that warmglue is legally compelled to make.
warmglue reserves the right to access, read, preserve, and disclose any information believed necessary to comply with law or court order; enforce or apply the warmglue terms of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of warmglue, warmglue employees, warmglue users, or others.
In the event of a reorganization, merger, sale, acquisition, licensing, going out of business, bankruptcy, or change of ownership of warmglue or of warmglue’s assets, warmglue may transfer any and all information, including personal information collected, to the new owner or licensee.
warmglue websites or products may contain links to other sites or services that are not under warmglue’s control. These sites and services have their own policies regarding privacy; for example, they may not honor “do not track” requests you have set using your browser or device. You should review those policies when visiting third party websites. warmglue is not responsible for linked websites, and will provide those links solely for the convenience and information of users. warmglue may use data from these other sites or services to customize content for you, improve warmglue’s services, and so on.
It is your responsibility to keep your passwords used with warmglue private and secure. warmglue strongly recommends against sharing your logins and passwords with others.
warmglue takes industry standard precautions through administrative, technical, and physical measures to protect your personal information and non-personal information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. SSL encryption is used by warmglue on all web pages that collect any personal information. Using an SSL-enabled browser such as Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Internet Explorer is required when your personal information is transmitted over the Internet.
When you use some warmglue features, such as sharing profile information or posting comments, the personal information and non-personal information you share are visible to others and can be read, collected, or used by them. You are responsible for the information you disclose in this way. For example, if you list your name and email address in a forum posting, that information is public.
While warmglue takes reasonable steps to ensure the integrity and security of warmglue’s network and systems, warmglue cannot guarantee these security measures will prevent third parties from obtaining personal information or non-personal information by illegal actions or attacks. Should such an attack occur, warmglue will notify you via email in accordance with local law and any applicable requirements, and will supply the appropriate authorities with available information on the third party in the event the attack comes under prosecution.
The failure of warmglue to exercise or enforce any right or provision of this agreement does not constitute a waiver of such right or provision. If for any reason a court of competent jurisdiction finds any provision or portion of this agreement to unenforceable, the remainder of this agreement will continue in full force and effect.
